Viking Mergers & Acquisitions is proud to announce the opening of our newest office in Dallas, Texas, marking our fifteenth location across the Southern U.S. and our third in Texas. With established offices in Houston and Austin, this expansion allows us to better serve clients throughout the Texas Triangle, one of the nation’s most dynamic and business-friendly regions.
At the helm of our Dallas office is Andrew Rehwinkel, a seasoned M&A professional with two decades of experience working on both sides of the transaction table. With expertise spanning industries such as technology, manufacturing, transportation, hospitality, and professional services, Andrew brings a strategic, hands-on approach to helping business owners maximize value and navigate successful exits.
Meet Andrew Rehwinkel: Leading Viking’s Dallas Expansion
Andrew’s journey into M&A began nearly 20 years ago with an early career experience in defense mergers, sparking a deep interest in deal-making. Over the years, he has built a career in corporate finance, restructuring, and asset management, helping business owners with growth strategies, operational improvements, and successful exits.
His ties to Dallas run deep. Born and raised in the city, Andrew graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. He went on to earn degrees from Georgetown University and Johns Hopkins University and returned to complete his MBA at Southern Methodist University (SMU).
“Dallas has a special place in my heart,” Andrew shares. “After a decade in Washington, DC, for college and early work, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to return home and attend SMU for my MBA. The ability to reconnect with local family members and lifelong friends has been tremendous while also planting my own stakes to build my own family and business ties here.”
Why Dallas? A Thriving Market for M&A
Dallas is a powerhouse for business and innovation, making it a prime location for Viking M&A’s expansion. With a diverse economy, pro-business policies, and a rapidly growing population, the city offers an ideal environment for entrepreneurs and business owners looking to sell, expand, or transition their businesses.
Key industries driving the Dallas economy include:
- Information Technology – As a major tech hub in the “Silicon Prairie,” Dallas is home to software companies, data centers, and telecommunications firms.
- Financial Services – With a strong banking and investment sector, Dallas is a leading financial center in the South.
- Healthcare – Dallas boasts world-class medical institutions and is a hub for healthcare innovation.
- Manufacturing & Logistics – A strategic location with access to major transportation networks makes Dallas a center for supply chain and distribution companies.
“There are over 3 million small businesses in Texas, and the combination of low taxes, a business-friendly regulatory environment, and a strong workforce makes North Texas an ideal market for M&A activity,” Andrew explains. “As business owners plan for retirement, expansion, or new opportunities, Viking is here to guide them through those pivotal transitions.”
Strong Start: The First Month in Dallas
Since opening the Dallas office, Andrew has hit the ground running.
“In just four weeks, I’ve met with 16 business owners to discuss their options,” he says. “The ability to get up to speed this quickly is only possible because of the incredible support from the broader Viking M&A team. If I have questions about specific industries, approaches, internal systems, or tools, there’s always someone just a phone call or email away to offer guidance.”
The momentum in Dallas is evident, and Viking M&A is well-positioned to help local business owners navigate the next steps in their business journeys.
